Biography

João Carriço is a Portuguese filmmaker focused on directing and cinematography.

João developed an interest in art from an early age, liking to draw and eventually picking up drumming. It was while studying music during his teenage years that he discovered his passion for cinema.

In 2019 he studied Directing at ETIC_ and in 2023 he graduated from ESTC with a degree in Cinema, specialized in Cinematography.

Currently working as a freelance filmmaker doing mostly music videos. He is also involved in music, playing with the band Manteau.
